Freebies for.............

Freebies For Parents And Their Children

Everyone gets excited once the news of a new addition to the family reaches them. It is not only the family who are busy anticipating and preparing for the arrival of the child, but the friends and acquaintances of the family as well. Everyone asks if the baby is a boy or a girl, if the baby already has a crib, feeding bottles and toys. But these days, even businesses are joining in the fun and excitement of preparing for the coming of a tiny little bundle of joy. Businesses are now offering many different baby offers.

One of the best baby offers is Enfamil Family Beginnings. This is a great program for expectant mothers who are planning to breastfeed their babies. Breastfeeding is a sure way for mothers to provide both food and nutrients to their babies. Enfamil Family Beginnings give out brochures and pamphlets with information about breastfeeding. They are aiming to educate new mothers and encourage them to breastfeed their babies. The program also offers to provide information on how mothers should supplement their breastfeeding with formula.

Enfamil Family Beginnings not only provide information on milk and formula, they also give tips and suggestions to assist you in raising your child from birth until his toddler years. They also gave away diaper bags that come in handy when the baby spends a day outside.

Apart from the information and free diaper bags, the program also sent free formula. This part of the program was able to help those who are in need.

Another baby offer is the free subscription to American Baby Magazine. This program was well-received because the company does not hassle people into getting a subscription or bother them with survey questions. They just freely gave away copies of magazines. So many parents are helped by their articles that mostly tackle the issues in raising a child.

Mayo Clinic's book about pregnancy has been offered for free by State Farm. The book was huge, weighing almost three pounds. But having that tome is very helpful, because with the wealth of information it provides, it may just as well be called a pregnancy encyclopedia.

Baby offers are a great way for a company to advertise. Not only are they able to present their products to the market, they are also able to help families with the freebies that they give away.

The Key to Good Parenting

Number 1 Key to Good Parenting

The numbers are chilling. Teen suicide and homicide rates have tripled from twenty years ago. There is a 50% increase in childhood obesity. Teenage pregnancy rates are the highest for any Western society. SAT scores have plummeted. 15-20% of kids are flunking kindergarten. Millions of children are medicated to be more “manageable” at home and school. One of the ongoing tragedies in our culture is that these problems are occurring in our most precious national resource, our children. Can these stats be turned around? Yes, and much of it can be prevented.
Here are the 5 basic prevention factors in raising good kids: good parenting, physical nourishment, love, guidance and environmental benefits. Simple Simon right? It sounds easy, yet Dr. Michael Dana, life coach and an expert in juvenile affairs for the Federal government states, “The mission of good parenting is the fostering of children in a manner that allows them to grow up to be normal, productive and law-abiding adults who have successfully realized their God-given potential.” So what does that mean to you and I as parents?
Here’s Dr. Dana’s Number 1 Key:
Effective parenting starts with being involved in your children’s lives.
In our busyness, we are often distracted and not really “with” our children. Giving children quantity and quality time, in today’s world is hard! Parents who are striving to spend more time with their children are learning to be creative. Barb, a busy mom of 2 girls, works part time so she can be home when her girls come home from school. ”I want to make the most of every moment I spend with Kimmy and Carleigh. Even the time we spend in the car running errands can be productive; we play word games, work on spelling, or play audio books on CD. My girls know I’m interested in their school work and learning is more fun when we do it together.”
Dr. Dana, dad of three, emphasizes: some Be-Attitudes for Parents:
  • Be aware.
  • Be a listener.
  • Be good at helping your children express their feelings.
  • Be engaged.
Participate in your child’s activities and interests. This can be done in a variety of ways - by talking about family history, allowing them to have free time to play and explore, through reading good classical and faith-based literature, establishing family traditions, and by sharing your own life experiences.
There is an urgent need for families to lessen their hurried lifestyles and become a haven, one that is nurturing for both children and adults. Dr. David Elkind’s advice, in his landmark book, “The Hurried Child” written more than—can you believe it-- 20 years ago, seems to have gone unheeded. “The pressure to grow up fast, to achieve early is a driving force in middle-class America. There is no room today for the "late bloomer"... Children have to achieve success early or they are regarded as losers.” Many parents push their kids to be involved in activities because they feel peer group pressure to make their children as competent as the neighbor’s kids. This not only robs hurried children of a childhood, but also robs them of the most important gift a parent can give - their undivided time and attention.
Family mealtimes, traditionally an occasion of family bonding, has seen a decline in modern times. Working mothers, who customarily carry the weight of this responsibility, often find it difficult to make regular home-cooked meals a reality. Bill and Nancy, both working parents, felt increasingly scattered and distant from their teenaged boys. They determined to prioritize their time as a family. Nancy finally came up with a solution - she marshaled the family to help on the weekend with cooking meals for the week. “This made all the difference in the world; we realized that our boys only had a few years left at home and we were missing it. Not only did the extra planning and time pay off in helping my boys learn their way around the kitchen, we experienced a lot more communication and connecting as a family.”
Parents as a group, are the least prepared to tackle the most challenging, and yet rewarding job of raising children. Think how much time and expense is spent learning a profession. Dr. Dana offers this advice, “No parent is perfect, but those parents who truly want the best for their children should always be vigilant to get support and education.” So follow Dr. Dana’s number 1 key to preventing problem kids and get involved before someone else requires you to get involved. .

5 Heart Healthy Exercises You Can Do During Pregnancy

5 Heart Healthy Exercises You Can Do During Pregnancy

Pregnancy is a time of celebration, love, and unwanted but necessary weight gain. However, being pregnant doesn’t mean that your health and figure has to suffer permanent damage. You can gain weight in a healthy fashion while doing some very easy and safe heart healthy pregnancy exercise routines.

One of the simplest and most effective pregnancy exercises you can do is walking. Not only is walking one of the best cardiovascular exercises, it is also one of the safest pregnancy exercises you can engage in. Walking is one of the few pregnancy exercises that you can do for the complete duration of your pregnancy.
Another extremely beneficial heart healthy pregnancy exercise is swimming. Countless doctors and pregnant women have attested to the wonderful benefits of swimming during pregnancy. A weekly pregnancy exercise routine of swimming gives both the arms and legs a great workout while promoting cardiovascular health. Because of the nature of being subdued in water, swimming will also remind expectant mothers what it felt like before the pounds were added on. This is definitely a welcome change every now and then.

The third pregnancy exercise routine you can start doing to keep your body healthy is enrolling in an aerobics class. Many fitness centers and community centers offer low impact aerobics classes for pregnant women. One of the nicer benefits of this pregnancy exercise is that it is done in the company of other pregnant women under the watchful eye of a professional aerobics instructor. This means you are going to get a safe workout catered to the special needs of pregnancy.

Weight training is also a very beneficial pregnancy routine to keep your body healthy. Although you must only use very light weights when engaging in this pregnancy exercise, weight training is an excellent way of toning your body and increasing muscular strength.

The last heart healthy pregnancy exercise you can do to stay fit is Pilates/yoga. Both of these body conditioning exercises promote stretching and flexibility within the muscles. Yoga is also a nice accompaniment to walking. By doing a combination of these pregnancy exercises, you can have a healthy balanced cardiovascular routine.

Being pregnant doesn’t mean that you have to sacrifice exercise and health. By walking, swimming, doing aerobics, weight training, and engaging in a Pilates/yoga routine, you can have a healthy and fit pregnancy.

Pregnant! What's This About Morning Sickness?

Congratulations! You're pregnant!

One minute you're overjoyed with your news, the next you're brought back down to earth with a thud.

And with it,the rude awakening that soon after conception, your body begins undergoing a series of major changes to help prepare it for your baby's growth and development.

Mother Nature loves irony. How else to explain taking the happiest time in a woman's life and causing her to become physically ill and miserable?

And, what's with using the term, "morning sickness"? Actually, the correct term is "nausea and vomiting of pregnancy". Which is closer to the truth since the condition can and will occur anytime of the day.

Facts about the condition:

1. 50-95% of pregnant women suffer from it

2. dehydration can happen in extreme cases

3. occurs in first month of pregnancy

4. continues until 14th-16th week

5. 50% of women will suffer for another month

Although nobody will say for sure what the definite causes are, the theories are:

1. estrogen level increase

2. low blood sugar

3. increased sensitivity to smells where many odors instantly trigger the gag-reflex

4. rise in progesterone level . This hormone helps relax the uterus in order to prevent early labor but it also relaxes the stomach and intestines which cause excess acids in the stomach and slower waste removal.

5. eating unhealthy foods. Seems the body has a sure-fire way to make sure you don't ingest anything not good for you or baby.

6. and this doozy. an increase in human chorionic gonadotropin! Now you know why they prefer to call it (hCG) This is a peptide hormone produced by the embryo soon after conception and later on by the placenta. It's role is to maintain crucial levels of progesterone production vital in human pregnancies.

7. excess salivation which nauseates some women

It's difficult to spend time on the causes when all you want is relief. As with anything to do with the human body, there's no one-size-fits-all remedy. There will be a period of trial and error as you find what works for you. Of course it goes without saying, you will be consulting with your doctor/care-provider.

So here are some corrective measures used by many women:

1. eating small, frequent meals. An empty stomach produces an acid which aggravates the stomach lining.

2. foods should be high in proteins and complex carbohydrates. Yogurt, cheese and eggs for example.

Whole-grain breads and cereals. Don't make the mistake of thinking of whole-wheat as being whole- grain. You want the product label to say " 100% whole-grain". Big difference and healthy for mother and baby.

3. drink fluids. Dehydration makes everything worse.

Extreme cases need to be hospitalized. If you can't stomach fluids, try eating fruit which has high water content and low acid like grapes and watermellon

4. ginger (zingiber officinale) The age-old remedy for upset stomachs. Either capsules, tea or ginger- snaps, candy. Try to get ginger ale made with real ginger. Usually not supermarket brands. You may have to try the health-food section in your grocery or an actual health-food store.

5. brushing teeth after vomiting will decrease excess saliva and lessen stomach turmoil. And, prevents tooth decay and makes you feel better.

6. get proper rest. Fatigue and stress will cause morning sickness to worsen. If able to, nap often.

7. stay away from fatty, spicy, rich, acidic and fried foods

8. eat crackers before getting out of bed. Get up slowly.

9. take prenatal vitamins later on in the day

10. try vitamin B6

11. microwave cooking produces less odors. Better yet, have someone else do the cooking while you, lucky girl, stay away!

12. go smell lemons. Believe it or not, relief may be found by sprinkling essential oil of lemon on a handkerchief and holding it to your nose.

13. warm places can trigger nausea. Try to stay cool.

If not in air conditioning, install fans around you.

Even a battery-operated hand-held fan can bring relief.

14. if your stomach agrees, eat what you want when you want it. Your special cravings are trying to tell you something.

Although it can be downright annoying when well-meaning friends and family tell you, "This too shall pass".

Especially when you feel miserable. Usually after the first trimester, you will again be concentrating on happy, future events.

Again, Congratulations!

Is Very Early Pregnancy Symptom - Cramping - Always Normal?

You are pregnant. Congratulations! Have you experienced the very early pregnancy symptom - cramping? If yes, then don't worry, it is quite normal to get this symptom. If not, then you are going to experience it very soon. It's a way of your body to inform you that an embryo is implanted in your uterus and ready to undertake its nine-month journey!

Let's know more about this very early pregnancy symptom, cramping; when it's normal and when it requires your doctor's attention.

The Cause Behind Cramping
This very early pregnancy symptom, cramping, is caused because of the enlargement of your uterus, as it welcomes the embryo into it. The newly implanted embryo forces the walls of your uterus to expand, thus, causing the feeling of cramps. The second name for cramping is implantation bleeding, which takes place when the fertilized egg moves to the uterus lining and expands it. This cramping is just like the one you experience before your period.

Don't be horrified if you see blood spots in your panties, along with the very early pregnancy symptom, cramping. Spotting may occur about a week or two after fertilization. Moreover, the light bleeding will take place only for a couple of days. Another thing to notice is that the blood is very light in color, unlike the blood released during menstruation, which is darker. Also, menstruation lasts for 5-6 day while this spotting should NOT last for more than two days. If you are doubtful about this symptom, then look out for other early pregnancy symptoms. If you don't like the anxiety of it, they go for a pregnancy test straight away.

Cramping Requires Medical Attention When.
The very early pregnancy symptom, cramping, is normal and does not call for worry. It is a harmless indication by your body that it is preparing for nurturing your baby. However, if you get fever or experience excess bleeding with cramping, then you need to worry and call your doctor fast.

When we say that the very early pregnancy symptom, cramping, is normal, we mean ONLY cramping and spotting. However, if there's more to it than just cramping, then you require a doctor. For women, who have had a miscarriage before, should see a doctor to ensure that their cramping is not related to any complication.

Never ignore the dark color of blood or excess bleeding or excess pain. These are signs that there's something wrong. The very early pregnancy symptom - cramping DOES NOT accompany all this. Moreover, you should also not try to treat these signs yourself. You don't know why this is happening. Hence, it's best to leave it to your doctor.

There are women who can make out that they are pregnant simply by experiencing this very early pregnancy symptom, cramping. Then there are women who get confused whether it's the commencement of pregnancy or menstruation. Whatever be the case, the ultimate confirmation comes after the line in your pregnancy test kit shows positive.

What Signals Are Sent By Your Body During Early Pregnancy Symptom

During early pregnancy symptom, many signs are sent by your body as its reactions to the dramatic hormonal changes. Level of fertility hormone get increased radically and leads to several symptoms to be noticeable. Usually, these signs typically do not appear until and unless you miss your period. After one or a couple of weeks, these symptoms begin to signal that you are getting pregnant. However, a fetal movement cannot be detectable before 16 weeks after conceiving.

Common Symptoms Of Pregnancy

Some common symptoms that are noted within the duration of 3 to 10 weeks of after conception are cramps in lower abdomen, cravings for typical foods, nausea or a feeling of vomiting, morning sickness, fatigue and tiredness, heartburn and constipation, breasts getting tender, swollen and sore. Many may notice their areas around nipples to turn darker and larger. Specialists suggest to keep track of the menstrual cycle to identify a missed period. But, during early pregnancy symptom, if you start experiencing other changes like the following, you should consider a pregnancy test to confirm it -

  • A small amount of vaginal bleeding can be possible about 11 or 12 days after implantation of eggs, and this is why, this symptom is known as implantation bleeding. This bleeding usually result from fertilization of eggs into lining of the Uterus. During implantation, embryo adheres to the lining of uterine wall, due to which some vaginal spotting is quite normal. Spotting usually appears lighter in color than regular menstrual bleeding.

  • A bit elevated basal body temperature or flu can be expected when you have missed your period during early pregnancy symptom.

  • Presence of some hormones in your body during pregnancy can relax the intestines; as a result, your digestion process reduces its speed. For this reason, you may experience constipation as a sign of pregnancy.

  • As the uterus develops, it starts compressing arteries in your legs and causes your blood pressure to drop and makes you feel dizzy. In the early stage of pregnancy, you may feel fainting after going a while without eating. Fainting at the early stage of pregnancy is caused by low blood sugar that is the source of embryo's source of food. Keep consuming healthy snacks to keep up level of your blood sugar.

  • Heightened sensitivity to aroma is another strong sign of pregnancy. Even the most favorite aroma of your perfume may choke you. Smells of gas, mowed grass, different types of foods, cigarette smokes etc., may arouse a sensation of nausea as side effect of estrogen hormones flow in your body.

Make a checklist of signs and signals indicated by your body during early pregnancy symptom and take a test to determine your pregnancy.

Crohns And Pregnancy

Pregnancy is a trying time for all women. The added stress, the complicated health issues and the additional weight can be overwhelming for many. But when you add in severe health problems like Crohn’s disease, the stress levels can reach unhealthy levels. So, what effects does Crohn’s disease have on pregnancy and what does this mean for the health of the baby?

Studies have shown that most women or couples who have an active case of Crohn’s (they regularly get flare-ups) may have trouble even conceiving. A common drug used to treat Crohn’s called sulfasalzine may render men temporarily infertile. There are less common medications available for men who are looking to conceive so consult your doctor to get switched to a treatment that won’t damage your sperm count.

Most women who have Crohn’s are able to carry their baby to a full-term pregnancy and have a healthy boy or girl, but there are some direct links between Crohn’s disease and problems which could potentially crop up. Since Crohn’s is responsible for causing ulcers and abscesses in the body, women who may have these in the birth canal or in the vagina may need to have a caesarean section birth. Crohn’s has been linked to a higher rate of miscarriage, stillbirth or premature birth at a rate of two to three times. There are also links between a worsening of symptoms directly after becoming pregnant and during the first trimester. Some women also experience a severe flare-up immediately after giving birth. The one thing to keep in mind is that every case of Crohn’s is different and every pregnancy is different, as well. There is no link at this time that says if you have severe Crohn’s related symptoms during one pregnancy that you’ll have them during your next one, too.

One of the most important aspects to having a healthy baby is eating a proper diet. As everyone knows, a woman’s diet changes dramatically during pregnancy, but diet can be a main trigger to Crohn’s flair-ups. So how to rectify the two? The best thing to do is to consult your doctors and remember, if you are treating your Crohn’s with sulfasalazine, take folic acid to help prevent birth defects. Most likely, your doctor and obstetrician will recommend a few special foods and an increased vitamin and mineral supplement plan.

There is a debated genetic link associated with Crohn’s. Some studies have shown no real link, while others have shown that if someone in your family has Crohn’s, there is a 10 times greater chance of developing it, and if that person is a brother or a sister, the risk jumps to 30 times. Targeting the actual genes that cause it has been extremely challenging since it appears that more than one gene affects Crohn’s disease. The main consensus on this controversial area is that there may be some genetic link, but it’s all about the environmental risk factors associated with it. Don’t smoke, try to eat right and keep the stress down and you don’t have to worry about passing Crohn’s disease onto your newborn baby.

Breast Enlargement Can Help You Increase Breast Size

Do you feel that you will learn enough from this article to help you out with the subject matter at hand?

If you have even a fleeting interest in the theme of Breast Enlargement, then you should take a look at the next information. This enlightening critique presents some of the newest news on the theme of Breast Enlargement.

Symmetry and balance. This eye-appealing height is almost the essence of classic physical beauty - in both men and women. It has been studied and pondered for thousands of years. What deciphers beauty from homeliness, mediocrity from perceived superiority, and what place does beauty truly hold in our club today?

It has been well documented that the perception of female beauty is in large part attributed from a woman's proportions, or mostly body symmetry. What does this mean? Well, in the realm of a women's breast dimension and shape, it means that we have assigned a great deal of perceived femininity, sexiness and energy to the contour of a woman's body, mostly defined by how proportionate her breasts are in relative to the place of her body. Basically, it is all one big, puzzling mathematical equation that we don't want to get into here for sake of brevity.

For the rest of this article, we will discuss the meaning behind what we have learned about this subject so far.

Like it or disgust it, this is the perception of female beauty in today's society, and many women are intuition the weight of rich out their clothes just so, and loving the nature esteem resulting from being able to block out bras and tops that are so general by today's values of female beauty.

Surgical breast enlargements have become so general that they were dubbed the support most performed voluntary surgery in the United States not too long ago. It seems like before you know it, no one will be able to tell who's breasts are genuine and who's are fake, because such a large amount of women are choosing to have this voluntary surgery.

You should know, many women who have had this practice are fulfilled with their results. The most common moan is that they don't feel or look real, and feel hard many times compared to authentic breasts. Beware of genuinely discounted surgeries. This should throw up a red standard immediately. If you are thoughts of have your breast augmentation performed by a doctor who provides the ritual at a part of the cost, make certain you thoroughly investigate their credentials. Sometimes you can even look a false doctor up on Google and see if they have been reported for any infractions or have had consumer complaints or lawsuits filed against them.

Be positive that you have thoroughly researched the breast bulk you would like to achieve through the breast enlargement surgery. The best way would probably be to investigate this information online by looking at adequate of before and after pictures of women who underwent the practice having the same current breast bulk you have, and what they came out with.

Breast instill extent is determined by the cc's, which is a fluid measurement gauging how greatly they will soak the instill with the salty solution, which directly determines how large your breasts will be.

Be surely you distrust your doctor about probable recovery time, how long you will be out of work, extort cost of the surgery, risks involved, track up worry routines, and other questions you have listed for manually that may be of particular special concern. Know that breast implants are not period devices. They do sport out, and they do should to be replaced about once every ten years. chatter to your physician more about that too.

There's a lot to understand about Breast Enlargement. We were able to supply you with some of the proof above, but there is still enough more to write about in subsequent articles.

If you could take the main ideas from this article and put them into a list, you would a great overview of what we have learned.

Hope and a High Risk Pregnancy

A young mother with a high-risk pregnancy combines hope with positive action to successfully deliver her pre-term son.

Baby Jack arrived, safe and sound. While his mother shivered uncontrollably from the effects of the anesthesia, Daddy and doctor hustled the newborn to the awaiting cubicle where he passed his first test with flying colors. But within minutes, the sigh of relief felt throughout the delivery room was interrupted as Jack’s prematurity manifested itself. Without explanation to mother, father, or grandmother, Jack was whisked away. With father in tow and Nani close behind, Baby Jack sped to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Preterm birth, the latest research shows, is the leading cause of infant mortality in the United States. According to CDC researchers, birth before 37 weeks of gestation accounted for at least one-third of all babies' deaths in 2002. Most of these, two-thirds, occurred within the first twenty-four hours. The technology and expertise of the special personnel in the NICU would give Baby Jack, born at 35 weeks, every opportunity to survive and beat the odds. If, along with nutrients, Baby Jack had acquired the indomitable spirit of his mother, his chances of survival looked good.

After two uneventful, textbook pregnancies, Kelly’s third pregnancy with her first son ran into problems at fourteen weeks. Continual bleeding, at times heavy, was diagnosed as placenta abruption. The large blood clot behind the placenta was reabsorbed partially over time, but ultrasounds also showed placenta previa, a low lying placenta that covered part of the cervix. These two major complications posed a threat to both the baby and Kelly.

Hope, though, burned brightly throughout Kelly’s ordeal. It enabled her to meticulously follow her doctor’s orders. She ate nutritiously and didn’t smoke or use alcohol. She visited her obstetrician regularly. Between hospitalizations that meant twice weekly visits to the office or the hospital. Non-stress tests and ultrasounds for the baby became routine.

Most difficult of all for Kelly was the imposed bed rest. Caring for two active daughters, ages three and five, meant enlisting additional help from the already overburdened dad-to-be as well as friends, neighbors, and family. Meals were pre-cooked, babysitters volunteered their time, and Nani resurrected her chauffeuring talents.

Kelly’s faith bolstered her. She prayed, she remained inactive, and she waited. All with the goal of prolonging gestation and increasing the baby’s weight. The amazement in the doctor’s eyes when Kelly continued to appear week after week for her appointments was subtle, but nonetheless evident to both Kelly and her mother.

During Kelly’s last hospital stay, with her high risk pregnancy doctor on vacation, Kelly faced her greatest challenge. The inexact science of medicine reared its ugly head. Two days after being dismissed from high risk care, Kelly once again suffered an emergency. The four doctors in her chosen medical practice couldn’t agree on what to do. Two wanted to wait and see, to give the baby more time in its natural environment. The other two wanted to go ahead with a planned delivery and thus avoid an emergency C-section. The hospitalist stepped in with another opinion. Each day the plan, or lack of one, changed.

Frustrated by the conflicting opinions and her worsening condition, Kelly and her husband decided to move from the community hospital to a major medical center in Boston. The evening the decision was made, nurses helped Kelly and her husband think through their options. Their expertise and caring gave Kelly the strength to listen to her inner voice. She urgently felt the need to bring Baby Jack into the world.

Kelly’s faith carried her through. The following day, in a planned C-section, the beautiful baby shed his yellow and cracking placenta and the grey umbilical cord that crumbled in the nurse’s hand. He wailed his first cry. Statistics show that only 7% of the deaths attributable to preterm birth occur after the first four weeks. Baby Jack made it through the first two weeks in the hospital, learning how to continue breathing on his own through the night and through his feedings and learning how to regulate his temperature. Now nine weeks old, Baby Jack has an emerging smile, and Kelly and her family maintain hope that the smile means all systems are go for Baby Jack.

Very Early Pregnancy Symptom before Period - These Symptoms May Indicate You are Pregnant

Very early pregnancy symptom before period are several symptoms masked as physical signs of discomfort that do not seem odd until seen through the prism of a pregnant state. These very early pregnancy symptoms vary from woman to woman, and some women do not experience them. For them, the missed period serves as the green light to signal that they may be pregnant. The home test kit and then a visit to the gynecologist are their positive means to test whether or not they're pregnant.

But there are signs that you may be pregnant even before the commonly held indicator of a missed period. A catch-missed period does not always mean a pregnancy. Sometimes other changes in the body might result in you skipping menstruation or having it delayed by a while.

Sometimes you find out you are pregnant by being convinced that the changes you experience are very early pregnancy symptom before period. There is little evidence to support you right then, but you could be banking upon a few signs that gently nudge at your being pregnant. In the same way that your womb begins to pull at your stomach muscles to tell you there is a baby growing within you.

Often the first physical sign that you are pregnant may be swollen, tender breasts or nipples sore and hard that may even be painful to the touch. The reason why breasts become swollen is because they experience changes that prepare them for breastfeeding. There is an increased production of the hormones estrogen or progesterone and the breasts can be really tender if you are experiencing pregnancy for the first time. This is a very early pregnancy symptom before period.

The other sign is slight exhaustion and cramping, a sudden shooting pain in the legs that go away if you sit up for a while. The cramping may be followed by implantation bleeding, a very slight spot of bleeding that occurs when the fertilized egg implants itself in the uterine lining. Implantation bleeding usually occurs about 10 to 14 days after conception. It could be mistaken for menstruation itself but for the fact that the bleeding is very slight, and slight brown or spotty in appearance. This is the time when you cannot test for hormone levels in the blood because it is still too soon to tell for sure if you are pregnant. You also experience a rise in your BBT or Basal Body temperature during this period, a more accurate indicator of very early pregnancy symptom before period.

This is the time when food cravings hit at you when you are least expecting it. You may feel the urge to eat a variety of food that you did not know you ever had the taste for. Pickles, sugar cravings, or plain simple unhealthy high-carbohydrate snacks, there is a range of foods that you might want to taste at any given hour of the day (or night). That is why you ought to feast because this may be your baby's signal to tell you about food he likes. Only remember to clamp on the appetite if this is accompanied by major bouts of throwing up. Your food cravings too may foretell that these are very early pregnancy symptoms before period.

Using Natural Ways to Increase Fertility

Are you finding it difficult to become pregnant? If so you can do many simple things to improve your chances of conception, the way we live can have a big effect on the reproductive system of both men and women and most people prefer natural ways to increase fertility. You may both have to change your life-style to incorporate healthy influences, and eliminate things you enjoy that reduce your fertility.

Increasing or improving your fertility is something you can both do. You can make sure your weight is within the range that is helpful for conceiving. You can make sure you incorporate a regular gentle exercise programme into your daily life such as walking; cycling or swimming, being fit and active is beneficial for fertility. You can make sure you and your partner are eating healthily, and eliminate habits that may lower your chances of conceiving.

Alcohol Reduction

Alcohol can put pregnancy at risk. According to some studies, the risk of miscarriage appears to increase with moderate drinking during the first three months of pregnancy, particularly in the first weeks.

Reducing Stress

Stress can have a big effect on fertility. In women under stress, the reproductive hormone prolactin is over-produced and this can interfere with ovulation. The hypothalamus stops secreting gonadotrophin hormone, which in turn will affect the release of both the luteinizing hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone. As these hormones stimulate ovulation - fertility is affected.

Self help for stress is regular exercise, deep breathing techniques, hypnotherapy and visualization - a combined approach can include the following:

- Acupuncture
- Nutrition
- Hypnotherapy

Fertility is a whole-body event, not something that happens just in our reproductive organs - that is why a holistic approach often works well. There may be a need for more fertility awareness and lifestyle changes to improve the chances of starting the pregnancy, or there may be a need for nutritional supplements, relaxation and de-stressing techniques, acupuncture, and massage.

Nutritional Improvement

You should not overlook nutrition in fertility treatment – it is important to have a good level of nourishment that will allow your body to function well, and it is of course a very natural way to increase fertility! Bad eating habits can lower the reserves of nutrients that are necessary for reproductive hormone systems to work properly.

Your hormonal balance and fertility are affected by what you eat, your nutrient levels and how well your digestion works. If you are short of essential fatty acids, vitamin A, vitamin B6, zinc, magnesium, and antioxidants, then your hormone production may be blocked - resulting in an imbalance that makes conception less likely.

Acupuncture

Have you ever wondered about the treatment of infertility with traditional medicine and acupuncture? Good candidates for trying medical acupuncture are people who have unexplained infertility - acupuncture is effective for balancing the body's energies and raising the receptiveness of the body for conception. Men and women with a physical problem, such as damaged fallopian tubes, or a low sperm count, would be encouraged to try acupuncture in addition to their medical treatment.

When skilfully applied, acupuncture is effective in correcting many of the imbalances that underlie the complex physical and hormonal disorders that lead to a reduction in fertility.

Smoking Cessation

Women who smoke are more likely to take longer to conceive, they have an increased risk of miscarriage, and lower oestrogen and progesterone levels. Men who smoke are likely to have decreased sperm density, less motile sperm, reduced testosterone, and an increase in abnormal sperm. These risks for both men and women increase with the number of cigarettes smoked.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is exceptionally beneficial and natural way to increase fertility. Hypnotherapists are already using Hypnotherapy to help women give birth peacefully, and teaching them that a normal birth should be a calm and natural process. Learning simple but specialised relaxation, and breathing, and other techniques, make the whole birth easier and more comfortable.

With unexplained infertility, hypnotherapists teach you to let go of the stress you have been holding on to, using specialised relaxation, and breathing techniques. It teaches you to let go of any emotional blocks or worries you may have that can create infertility issues – Hypnotherapy can help you identify and process emotional issues that might be interfering with conception.

In addition to dealing with deep-seated fears, hypnotherapy is effective in stress reduction, and this in turn allows for hormonal rebalancing. This has been seen in cases where there is too much prolactin being produced which can inhibit ovulation. In a relaxed environment at a clinic, you can work together to bring about positive attitudes and beliefs.

You can give your unconscious mind free rein here and allow yourself to be creative, free, and prepared to follow your heart's wishes.

So there you have it - a range of natural ways to Increase infertility . Choose as many as befits your lifestyle and make things easier for yourself and your baby.

Symptoms signs to detect early pregnancy: How to Tell You Are Pregnant

What are the early symptoms or signs to detect early pregnancy? While most women rely on methods ranging from a missed period to charting emotional changes in their mindscape, to counting the number of trips to the bathroom to measure if they are sick or wanting to urinate more, there are other symptoms that tell in a more reliable way whether or not you are pregnant. These are your early pregnancy symptoms, so pay heed to them.

Test with a Home Pregnancy Kit

Following the first signs that something is amiss, you could go purchase a home pregnancy kit to test yourself for proof that you are pregnant. There is a hormone known as Human Chorionic Gonadotropin or HCG. This hormone is secreted when a fertilized egg is implanted in the uterine. The home pregnancy test can detect HCG. However, there is a catch. Many home pregnancy tests are not so sensitive that they can detect pregnancies until about a week after a missed period. If you decide to take a home pregnancy test earlier than getting a missed period and get a negative result inspite of having taken the test, try the test again in a few day

Chart your Basal Body Temperature : BBT Doesn't go Down

Another symptom sign to detect early pregnancy is to chart your basal body temperature and checking to see if your temperature has stayed elevated for 18 days in a row. In biological terms, your basal body temperature should go slightly down before menstruation and the next drop of BBT would be in the first days of a new menstrual cycle. If you are pregnant, then it will stay high or may become even higher, it may increase about 0.3 degree. If you measure and then find that your BBT stays raised during this period, it probably indicates that you are pregnant.

Checking for Late Menses

Many women check for missed periods to hint at early symptom sign to detect early pregnancy. Late menstruation however, is not always a reliable indicator of detecting pregnancy. A more accurate indicator is to check for the length of your luteal (second) phase of menstruation. How does it work? Menstrual cycle consists of two phases. While the length of the first may vary, depending on a number of criteria, the length of the second is nearly constant.

To find out if period is missed due to pregnancy, you need to know the time of ovulation and how long the second phase of your cycle lasts. A longer luetal phase means that in other words, a new cycle doesn't begin. If you have identified the ovulation day, and you know the length of your luteal phase, then you can calculate if period is actually late. But this method is subject to be used only if you know when ovulation occurred.

As mentioned earlier, other symptoms, including breast tenderness, abdominal pain, sleepiness, irritation, tiredness, and so on, too may mean you are pregnant. But a home pregnancy test, charting your basal body temperature and the length of your luteal phase are more objective methods of checking and give more accurate results. These symptoms signs to detect early pregnancy will tell you when it is time to get ready for motherhood

What is an "Infant Compromise"?

The N.Y.S. Unified Court System, in its on-line Glossary of Legal Terms (see http://www.courts.state.ny.us/lawlibraries/glossary.shtml#) has the following definition:

Infant's compromise: a civil proceeding or motion for obtaining court approval of the settlement of an infant's claim a civil proceeding or motion for obtaining court approval of the settlement of an infant's claim.

Legally, an "infant" is a person under age eighteen. In New York State, an infant's case can not be settled without the approval of a judge, not even if the parent wants to accept the settlement. This situation typically arises when the infant has a claim or lawsuit for personal injury arising out of an accident. The reason is simple: to protect the minor and keep the money safe until he or she is at least eighteen years old.

New York State's Civil Practice Law and Rules provides at Sections 1206 and 1207 for the authority of the Court in these matters. A judge plays several roles. First, the settlement can be refused, if for some reason the judge feels that it is inadequate, in other words, not enough money. Second and equally important, the judge can direct where the money is held or invested for the infant. Usually, the attorney recommends a proposed course of action for the investment.

The judge also approves the attorney's fee. If the judge feels that the attorney is seeking too large a fee for too little work, then the lawyer's fee may be reduced.

If the sum of money involved is not large, and the infant is not suffering from any kind of mental disability that would prevent him or her from managing the money at age eighteen, the money is usually ordered to be deposited into a bank account and held jointly with the bank, for the ultimate benefit of and use by the infant. Large settlement amounts or infants who may be receiving government benefits (such as Medicaid or SSI) present a special challenge.

In those circumstances, special trusts, designed to give the child some use of the money while preserving government benefits, may be in order. Sometimes the lawyer may call on a consultant to devise a "structured settlement." A structured settlement is designed to invest the infant's money profitably, while ensuring that the money is paid out over time, and not all available to the infant at age eighteen. Structured settlements can span years, with payments made monthly or quarterly, and with larger payments timed to coincide with anticipated college tuition or the purchase of a home, or anything that the infant, parents and attorney can anticipate.

Under certain rare, emergency circumstances an infant's money can be withdrawn early - before the eighteenth birthday. But this requires a judge to approve the request, and judges are careful to ensure that the money is not being used for the family's regular living expenses.

Some terminology:

An infant or infant's "compromise order" is the paper signed by a judge approving the settlement of the infant's claim, authorizing payment to the attorney, and empowering the infant's parent to sign a release settling the claim.

An infant or infant's "compromise hearing" is the courthouse meeting where the judge considers the settlement. Present are the judge, attorney, parent and infant. Typically, the judge makes sure that the terms of the settlement are fair and understood by the parent and, if he or she is old enough, by the child. Also, that they know that the case or claim is being settled and disposed of forever; there is no going back for more money, at any time. The judge may also ask the infant some questions about his or her physical condition, to try to see if any injuries have healed, or look at any scars that the infant may have suffered, as part of the process of evaluating the fairness of the proposed settlement.

My Period Is Late, Am I Pregnant?

Every woman will to have different bodily signs to show if she is pregnant. The most common pregnancy sign is a delayed or missed menstrual cycle. It is important to understand pregnancy symptoms because the symptom may be related to something other than pregnancy.

You may develop pregnancy symptoms as often as one week after conception. Some women will not develop pregnancy symptoms at all. Some common pregnancy symptoms are:

Spotting
Caused by the implantation of the embryo into the uterine wall.
It usually occurs 6-12 days after conception.
This may include light bleeding and cramping.
Other explanations for spotting could be your actual period is coming, changes in hormones, or changes in birth control pill.

Missed or Different Period
If you have missed your period, you could take an over the counter pregnancy test to help determine if you are pregnant or not
Many women will still have a period even though they are pregnant
Some women will continue menstruation through several months of their pregnancy
Light bleeding during the first menstruation period after becoming pregnant is common
Other explanations for missed or different periods are weight changes, hormonal problems, tension, birth control pills, and stress

Tender Breasts
Usually 1 to 2 weeks after conception, a woman may notice changes in their breasts
Darkening of the areolas, the skin around the nipples, may also occur in the early stages of pregnancy

Fatigue
Feeling tired is a common symptom of early pregnancy
Other explanations can include stress, depression, a cold or flu, or other illness.

Nausea or Vomiting
Usually begin between 2 and 8 weeks after conception.
Some women will never deal with it and others start to get sick very early on in their pregnancy

Backaches
It is common to experience back pain throughout a pregnancy as your body adjusts
Other explanations are stress, PMS, or physical strain.

Headaches
The changing of hormones can cause headaches
Other mental strains or eye problems can also be an explanation

Frequent Urination
Usually occurs around 6-8 weeks after conception as the uterus pushes on the bladder
Other explanations are urinary tract infections, or possibly other medical problems

Food Cravings
You may crave a specific food, not necessarily pickles and ice cream
May have an aversion to certain foods
Other explanations are poor diet or lacking of a certain nutrient, also stress and depression

Pregnancy symptoms can be similar to other medical issues. If you think you are pregnant, you can first take an over the counter test. Pregnancy tests are very accurate and if the test says you are pregnant, you probably are. If the pregnancy test comes back negative and you still have not received your period after another 5 days, you should retake the test. It is possible you took the test too early before. If you still have not had your period, it is important to see your doctor; you may be pregnant or have another medical issue.

If you should suspect or discover you are pregnant, it is very important that you make an appointment to see your health care provider. Prenatal care is essential for both you and your baby's health. Day and Night Face Creams - What Consumers Must Know

How often do you purchase face creams? Do you have any lingering thoughts, questions, or doubts as you rub these products into your facial pores? If you are like most consumers, you rarely think about what is actually included in these products, though it is one of the most important types of research you could ever do for your health.

When you want to lose weight, you eat healthy, natural foods. When you want to clean out your body from the natural toxins in our environment, you search out natural cleansing products. It should obviously follow that when you want to fight the signs of aging on the skin, you find a natural face cream.

The fact is most face creams currently being sold are anything but natural. They include a variety of preservatives that make their shelf life longer, but which may contribute to cancer and other diseases with long term use. They include fragrances which can irritate and dry out the skin. They also include a lot of toxic chemicals which provide absolutely no benefit to the skin.

Yet, popular manufacturers continue to come up with marketing angles that allow these chemical-filled face creams to sell off the shelves. For instance, firming lotions that also tan the skin without the help of harmful sun rays are now extremely popular. While consumers have no idea what is in these tanning lotions, they smear them on every day assuming they are safer than lying on the beach for a few hours.

The fact is, many of them are not any safer due to the toxic nature of the ingredients!

That is why searching for a natural face cream is so important. You want to include a day and night cream in your daily routine that will nourish your skin with rich antioxidants, cleanse your skin with high quality ingredients, and encourage your skin to restore the levels of collagen and elastin that are present in younger skin cells.

All of that can be achieved with face creams that contain active ingredients in the most natural state possible. The trick is to look for day and night face creams that are clearly labeled organic, all natural, preservative free, or toxin free.

Finally, finding the most effective creams depends on you being an informed consumer. You have to know what the most beneficial ingredients really are if you are ever going to spot them on a label. Do some research online and determine what has been proven to really help the skin and what is just a passing fad.

Single Women Are Hot

Just when businesses and advertisers think they have women all figured out enters a new category with serious buying power: the single woman. It is projected that in 2005 single women will spend $400 million dollars which has the business world standing up and taking notice.

There use to be a time when single women were treated like outcasts and looked on with pity. Unmarried women were secretly called “spinsters” by friends and family if they were not wed by the time they hit 30. The tide is beginning to turn as single women send out the message that they can do for themselves.

Businesses as well as politicians are now checking in to see what makes single women tick. The census data shows that 40% of women between the ages of 25 to 29 are not married. While 23% of women in the 30 to 34 age rage are not married. One can only guess that the percent of single women over 30 will grow due to the fact that more women are stating that marriage is not of interest to them. The messages coming from single women are diverse from choosing the single life as the preferred lifestyle, choosing career over marriage first, to one person homeownership.

Single women are beginning to take the country by storm, even on the top hit show “Desperate Housewives” half of the characters are single. Advertising companies are beginning to get it when it comes appealing to the single woman. One commercial has two women who are sitting down after a wedding doing a high five for having “not” caught the bridal bouquet. This message says that businesses are seeing that single women are a viable market. That is girl power that is about to be in full effect.

What to Eat While Pregnant

According to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, what your spouse eats right before and during your pregnancy can affect the health of your growing baby. Even before she starts trying to get pregnant, you should take special care of her health.

Make sure she eats healthy meals and snacks and take a multivitamin every day. If you are both unsure about eating healthy during pregnancy, talk to your doctor.

Does my spouse really need to "eat for two?"

According to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, your spouse will need additional nutrients to keep her and the baby healthy, while she is pregnant. But, that does not mean she needs to eat twice as much. She should only eat an extra 300 calories per day. A baked potato has 120 calories. So getting these extra 300 calories doesn't take a lot of food.

Make sure she does not to restrict her diet during pregnancy either. If she does, the unborn baby might not get the right amounts of protein, vitamins, and minerals. Low-calorie diets can break down a pregnant woman's stored fat. This can lead to the production of substances called ketones. Ketones can be found in the mother's blood and urine and are a sign of starvation.

Why do pregnant women crave certain foods?

According to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, the desire for "pickles and ice cream" and other cravings might be caused by changes in nutritional needs during pregnancy. The fetus needs nourishment and a woman's body absorbs and metabolizes nutrients differently while pregnant.

These changes help ensure normal development of the baby and fill the demands of breastfeeding once the baby is born.

Other Nutrients Does My Partner Need For a healthy pregnancy

Folic Acid: According to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, Pregnant women need 400 micrograms (400 mcg) of folic acid every day to help prevent birth defects. Folic acid is also important for any woman who could possibly become pregnant. Folic acid is a B vitamin that helps prevent serious birth defects of a baby's brain or spine called neural tube defects. Getting enough folic acid can also help prevent birth defects like cleft lip and congenital heart disease.

An easy way to get enough folic acid is to take a multivitamin every day. Most multivitamins sold in the U.S. contain enough folic acid for the day. But be sure to check the label! Choose a multivitamin that contains 400 mcg or 100% of the Daily Value (DV) for folic acid. Getting enough folic acid is most important very early in pregnancy, usually before a woman knows she is pregnant.

So, at least one month before your partner tries to become pregnant you should make sure she is getting enough folic acid. Women who are already pregnant need to get enough folic acid every single day. Another way to get enough folic acid is to start your spouse eating a serving of breakfast cereal that contains 100% DV for folic acid, every day. Check the nutrition label on the box of cereal to be sure. It should say "100%" next to folic acid. Orange juice, spinach and legumes are also good sources of folic acid.

Iron: Pregnant women need twice as much iron - 30 mg per day - than other women. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that pregnant women start taking a low-dose iron supplement (30 mg/day) or a multivitamin with iron beginning at the time of their first prenatal visit. Ask your doctor what she recommends.

Prenatal vitamins prescribed by your doctor or those you can buy over-the-counter usually have the amount of iron your partner needs. But be sure to check the label to make sure. Pregnant women should also eat lots of iron-rich foods. Some good sources of iron include lean red meat, fish, poultry, dried fruits, whole-grain breads, and iron-fortified cereals. Pregnant women need extra iron for the increased amount of blood in their bodies. Iron helps keep blood healthy. Plus, your baby will store iron in his body to last through the first few months of life. Too little iron can cause a condition called anemia. If your spouse has anemia, she might look pale and feel very tired. Your doctor checks for signs of anemia with the routine blood tests taken at different stages of pregnancy. If your doctor finds that she has anemia, she will give special iron supplements to take once or twice a day.

Calcium: Pregnant women aged 19 to 50 years should get 1,000 mg/day of calcium. Younger pregnant women need even more - 1300 mg/day. Most women in the U.S. don't eat enough calcium. So many pregnant women will have to change their diets to get their fill of this important mineral. Low-fat or non-fat milk, yogurt, cheese or other dairy products are great sources of calcium. Eating green leafy vegetables and calcium-fortified foods like orange juice and breakfast cereal can also provide calcium. If your partner's diet is not providing 1,000 mg/day of calcium, talk to your doctor about taking a calcium supplement.

Water: Pregnant women should drink at least six eight-ounce glasses of water per day. Plus, pregnant women should drink another glass of water for each hour of activity. Water plays a key role in your partner's diet during pregnancy. It carries the nutrients from the food she eats to your baby. It also helps prevent constipation, hemorrhoids, excessive swelling, and urinary tract or bladder infections. Drinking enough water, especially in the last trimester, prevents dehydration. Not getting enough water can lead to premature or early labor. Juices also contain water.
